Client Reviews
In their own words
Suda Kaweecharoen
Retired teacher, Nonthaburi
"I had been trying to understand my civil service pension for over a year without much progress. The review at Ratana Law was the first time someone sat down and explained exactly what the records meant. Phansa was patient and did not make me feel foolish for not knowing things. The written summary she sent afterwards was something I could actually refer back to."

Anon Phiromchai
Former bank employee, Bangkok
"My pension payment was reduced without any explanation that I could follow. Wanchai helped me prepare a formal objection and handled all the correspondence with the Social Security Office. The process took about three months, which was longer than I hoped, but he told me upfront that it might. In the end the reduction was partially reversed."

Malee Lertprasert
Widow, Chiang Mai (remote client)
"After my husband passed, his pension entitlement became difficult to resolve — there were gaps in his employment records that the pension fund could not or would not explain. I worked with Ratana Law entirely by phone and email. They were thorough and treated the matter seriously. It took six months but the situation was resolved satisfactorily."
May 2025
Prasert Nantakorn
Former public health worker, Pathum Thani
"I came in not really knowing if I had a case at all — just a feeling that something was wrong. The review confirmed that there were indeed some calculation errors. They were honest about the limits of what could be achieved, which I appreciated. We pursued a partial correction and got a reasonable outcome. Good, sensible advice."

Wirat Sukonrat
Retired engineer, Bangkok
"The team kept me informed throughout without my having to chase them, which was not my experience with the first lawyer I tried. Nattaya was always responsive when I had questions about what was happening. The full representation service was worth the cost for a matter that turned out to be fairly involved."
May 2025
Nanthawan Poonprasert
Retired administrator, Samut Prakan
"I only needed the entitlement review — I was not ready to commit to anything more at the time, and they did not push me. The review itself was clear and useful. I understood my position properly for the first time. Whether I take further steps is something I am still considering, but I left feeling far less confused than when I arrived."

Case Summaries
Selected client situations
These are fictional summaries based on typical pension matters we encounter, presented to illustrate how the process usually unfolds. Identifying details are not included.
Case Summary — Review Service
The Situation
A retired civil servant was receiving a pension below the amount she believed she was entitled to, based on her years of service. She had no clear explanation from her former employer and found the relevant legislation difficult to follow.
What We Did
We reviewed her service records and the applicable Civil Service Pension Act provisions. The review identified a calculation period that had been handled incorrectly, reducing her entitlement.
The Outcome
After a three-month correction process, her monthly payment was adjusted upward. She now receives the correct amount and has documentation confirming the recalculation.
"I had nearly given up. Having someone read the documents properly made all the difference."
— Retired civil servant, Bangkok Province
Case Summary — Dispute Service
The Situation
A former private-sector employee received a letter from the Social Security Office reducing his pension benefit, citing a period of part-time employment that he disputed. He had not kept records from that time.
What We Did
We helped him gather alternative evidence — bank records, payslips from neighbouring periods — and prepared a formal written objection to the SSO setting out the factual basis for his position.
The Outcome
The SSO accepted the alternative evidence and reinstated his full benefit after approximately four months. The total improvement to his annual pension was meaningful.
"The team was straightforward about what might and might not work. That honesty helped."
— Former manufacturing employee, Samut Sakhon
Case Summary — Full Representation
The Situation
A widow sought pension benefits following her husband's death, but his pension fund disputed the validity of their marriage under the fund's specific eligibility rules — a matter that required formal legal proceedings to resolve.
What We Did
We handled the complete case — gathering official documentation, preparing formal submissions, liaising with the fund's administrator, and representing her at the review hearing.
The Outcome
The hearing determined in her favour. She now receives survivor benefits. The process took eight months in total — we had estimated six to nine at the outset, which proved accurate.
"They handled everything. I only had to show up once. That was what I needed at that time."
— Widow, central Thailand
